Charlie's Corner
Award-winning landscape designer and television presenter Charlie Albone first discovered ShapeScaper while running his landscape construction business. His crew had long struggled with edging systems that were difficult to shape, hard to install with clean lines and time-consuming to get perfectly straight. When they tried ShapeScaper for the first time, the difference was immediate: they could achieve crisp corners, straight lines and smooth curves without the frustration or extra labour. From that point on, ShapeScaper became the edging they preferred to work with.
Charlie has since incorporated ShapeScaper into a wide range of residential landscapes and high-profile projects, including his Gold-winning Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show. The product’s strength, flexibility and precision allowed him to build elevated beds, create flowing forms and deliver the refined finish his designs are known for. Charlie has worked extensively with our full range, adapting each system to suit the specific lines, levels, and planting styles of his projects.
In his own home garden, later featured on Better Homes and Gardens, Charlie used ShapeScaper to terrace rocky soil, import new planting media, elevate citrus trees, and reshape lawn areas to create softer, more inviting lines. His use of ShapeScaper products carried through his 2024 and 2025 Challenger Gardens at MIFGS, where he curved edging on-site for organic forms and used tree rings to lift statement plantings for greater impact.

Manufactured in Australia using Australian Bluescope® Steel. Redcor® steel is the Australian made equivalent of the ever popular "corten" weathering steel. All our products come with a 10 year structural warranty and are suitable for heavy duty commercial installations.
SHAPESCAPER Steel Planters and Steel Garden Edging offer a large range of product choices. Edging thickness available at 1.6mm, 2.0mm and 2.5mm with height profiles at 75mm, 100mm, 150mm, 185mm, 230mm, 290mm, 390mm and 590mm. Our modular steel planter boxes feature a minimum of 2.5mm thick steel and are available at either 500mm or 700mm high.
